Care advice

Caring for your garments properly will extend their life. Always follow the garment's washing instructions. Here we have collected some tips for our clothes from Olars Ulla. Under each product, you can also find the garment's specific washing instructions.

Linen

Linen shrinks in the first wash. Therefore, all our linen garments are washed in connection with production, so when you receive your new linen garments from Olars Ulla, they will not shrink any more.

When it's time to wash, we recommend:

- Turn all garments inside out, as well as button any coats

- Please use an environmentally friendly detergent

- Avoid fabric softener and bleach

In order to preserve the products for as long as possible, and of course also for environmental reasons, we recommend washing in temperatures as low as possible, but a maximum of 40 degrees.

Stretch the garment while wet. Tumble drying should take place at low temperatures. They are also good for hanging to dry linen, the garment can then feel a little stiff when dried, but quickly softens again when used.

Wool

Wool is a natural material with fantastic properties that suits the Nordic climate perfectly. Wool fibers are self-cleaning and have antibacterial properties. Wool therefore naturally repels foreign substances and releases dirt. For wool, airing goes a long way as the only care. And then with advantage in humid weather.

When a knitted wool garment needs to be washed, we recommend:

- Hand wash at a maximum of 30 degrees

- Please use a detergent intended for wool

- Never use fabric softener

Carefully squeeze out of the water by hand. If it is very wet, you can roll the garment in a terry towel and squeeze out the water. Then let the garment air dry flat. Wool garments must not be tumble-dried.

Piles are formed on knitted woolen garments when the smallest wool fibers in the yarn come loose and small balls are created on the surface. This mainly occurs in places where friction occurs. If the nubs are carefully removed over time, the nubs usually subside, as the small fibers disappear.

The advantage of wool piles from 100% wool is that they are easily removed without affecting the quality of the garment.

FOR OUR COATS IN WOOL, A GENTLE DRY WASH (WITH ETRACHLOROETHYLENE -P) APPLIES.
